Mr. Randy Hamilton is a 5th Degree Black belt and WTTU Certified Instructor with over fifteen years experience. He is a fierce competitor with several ‘Canada Champ’ titles, has placed multiple times in the world’s ‘Top Ten’ and has numerous wins on the local and regional level. This extensive experience lends greatly to his instructional skills.
Mr. Hamilton is also one of only three Regional Coordinators in Alberta, and is one of the primary instructors in charge of regional training in Alberta. He has extensive martial arts training which includes the following: WTF Taekwondo (3rd Degree Black Belt), Songahm Taekwondo (5th Degree Black Belt), Haidong Gumdo, Certified Ground Fighting Instructor, Integrated Combat Instructor, Certified Weapons Instructor, Women’s Self Defence Instructor (SHARP), Kids N Power Child Abduction and Bully Prevention Trainer, Xtreme Martial Arts Instructor, and currently training and teaching as a facilitating instructor for Abrahao Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Krav Maga.
Mr. Hamilton has drawn on his extensive experience and diversity to deliver a very well rounded program. Mr. Hamilton is also a very proud father of triplet girls who all train in the school. One of his goals is to insure their safety through training programs at the school.
Miss Siena Holman is a 4th Degree Black Belt and WTTU Certified instructor with hundreds of hours experience teaching martial arts. Siena is a seasoned competitor enjoying ‘Canada Champ’ status multiple times, and is experienced at competing on national and regional Levels. She is tough minded and strong willed, yet gentle of heart and graciously humble. Sienna is currently pursuing her degree in education and plans to become a lawyer, or she may opt to become a fire fighter – It depends on which one offers her the most challenge. Miss Holman doesn’t like to do things the easy way.
Mr. Rick Walline is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a Specialty Certified Instructor. He is an ‘old school’ martial arts instructor having earned his 3rd Degree Black Belt in Songahm Taekwondo and WTF. His many years of training have allowed him to also gain some experience in Hapkido, Kung Fu and Jung Moo Do. He has undergone extensive training in the Songahm Taekwondo instructor training program and has many years of school management and instructor experience behind him. Mr. Walline makes a great guide on the road to personal development and Black Belt achievement. He is a successful financial advisor, but his love of martial arts and the joy of teaching keeps him anchored in our schools. His personal discipline and perseverance are an inspiration to his fellow instructors.
Mr. Mykael Leblanc is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and Instructor Trainee with the WTTU. Mykael comes from a family full of ‘Black Belts’ and has been training in martial arts for the majority of his life. His love of martial arts, and great skills and experience, lend well to his role as an instructor. However it is his youthful energy, humour and fun loving attitude that make him a great instructor for the kids. Mr Leblanc is currently apprenticing in the trades and working in Sherwood Park as a Lead instructor.
Miss Caroline Ford is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and currently completing a degree through the University of Alberta. She is one of our main contributors to the successful functioning of our school. Caroline is a Specialty Certified Instructor in the WTTU and has multiple ‘Canada Champ’ titles to her credit. Her competitive spirit falls second only to her skills as an instructor. When she is not doing martial arts you will find her with her head buried in books, not only to study for her degree but also due to her intense love of the written word and a desire for knowledge. She has a contagious smile and huge heart for teaching the kids!
Miss Lucy Ford, sister to Caroline, is also a 2nd Degree Black Belt and WTTU Specialty Certified Instructor. She too is finishing her degree through the University of Alberta and is one of Mr. Hamilton’s “right hands”. Lucy is always there to jump in and offer her extensive martial arts instructor experience or competently take on any other leadership role. She has taken a liking to our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training program and is admired by her fellow students for showing great skills in this area. Miss Ford is petite yet powerful, while kind hearted, and loves to teach martial arts!
Ms. Dellice Berezan is a 2nd Degree Black belt in Songahm Taekwondo and another of our fully Certified WTTU Instructors. She has a Master’s Degree in Science and is completing her degree in education. Dellice comes from a family of educators. It was their influence, and her experience as a martial artist, that combined to bring out her love of teaching. She is instrumental in the development of our physical training curriculum, Instructor training program and leadership skills training program. Ms. Berezan helps to balance to our customized training programs with updated teaching philosophies and styles.
Mr. Collin Horn is also a 2nd Degree Black Belt and a young and enthusiastic Certified Trainer. Although he has big educational demands due to his International Baccalaureate curriculum, he’s committed to his duties as an assistant intructor at our Sherwood Park school. His commitment to excellence and enthusiasm for learning has proven to be a great benefit for our students and schools as a whole.
Mr. Cody Gerhart is one of our newest and youngest staff members. As a 1st Degree Black Belt and Instructor Trainee Cody is a great addition to our instructional team. His energy and giddy excitement know no bounds, and the kids love him. His martial arts excellence has been recognized numerous times though his competitive accomplishments and numerous awards. Even though he’s still in high school, Cody has shown a mature dedication to his training and instructor abilities. He is dedicated to his high school’s sports development program and enjoys a major role in cheer squad due to his high level of agility and fitness.
